Discord Strategy:

  • Custom solution for channel opt-in
    • As a new user joining a server, users can quickly be overwhelmed by the amount of channels
    • Implemented a channel selection process where a user can opt-in to channels based on reacts with by utilizing atlas.bot
Discord Set-Up:
  • Currently setup and manage two personal servers
  • Utlize atlas.bot and mee6.xyz to assist in roles, and server management
  • Bot Prevention
    • As a member of the Superplastic NFT community, they recently launched a collab with Gucci that went disastrous on Discord
    • From observation, Superplastic Team was not prepared to handle the influx of bots for this specific collab
    • Solution ended up being manual verification of members to ensure product went into humans and not bots
Discord Moderation:
  • Currently a moderator for two servers
  • Responsibilities as moderator include
    • Assisting new users unfamiliar with Discord, essentially, "How to Discord"
    • Being knowledgable about server topics to assist users when questions or issues come up
    • Informing users when they aren't adhering to server rules and guidelines
